Sooo, I have a lot of points built up on my SonyCard credit card. I can order an item from Sonystyle.com but that uses up a lot more points than normal because the prices on there are really high.
Sooo, I decided I wanted a video camera. We looked at Circuit City and the price for the video camera is $40 cheaper there than on SonyStyle. So, I was just going to go and buy it yesterday. I normally do a lot of price matching online and all that jazz, but I'm too tired these days. Hubby wasn't having any of that. He gave me a pep talk about my bargain hunting abilities and how he KNOWS I can get a much better price. The price at SonyStyle was $399.99, the price at Circuit City is $359.99 plus $21.99 in taxes.
So, this morning, I did my usual search and found that www.jr.com (a highly rated online retailer) has the camera for $344.99 + $6 shipping and no taxes. Then, I saw that they have a price match guarantee for any authorized retailer. Circuit City has one for local retailers only. So, I found that www.niceelectronics.com has the camera for $329.99 + $19.95 shipping. So, I called J&R and the guy did say that the shipping is taken into account when calculating price matches, but they could offer me the camera for $334.99 + $6 shipping, so a total of $340.95 shipped.
Woo Hoo, That's a way better deal then Circuit City. That makes the points we have go a lot further, plus gets us the camera we wanted! I'm glad that hubby reminded me to go do my thing. I'm online all the time anyway, might as well put it to good use!!!
Hehe, he even dragged me to the jewelers when he was buying my engagement ring so that I could get them to lower the price (I did). It's good to know he appreciates my talents that much
