I know this is probably such a duh! question, but I can't figure out how people do this?! Every card I receive has the send to address on a computer printed label...how do I do this? It would make life SO much easier.

Thanks!

Do you have Word? If so go to the Tools drop down and select Letters and Mailing, then the Mail Merge Wizard. It will walk you through setting up a mail-merge for your labels.

I use Avery # 5160 which is 30 labels/page.

You can also mail merge your mailing list (assuming it's in Excel) and print both your return address and your mailing-to address.

Email me below & I'll send you the template I have for it; it's formatted in Word for an HP laser printer. Works like a charm!

I do a mail merge in Word from my Contacts in Outlook. I use Outlook as my main address book, so they're all there to begin with.

I have an excel file that I use to store all my addresses for Christmas cards, birth announcements, etc. So I usually go to Word and go to the top menus to find "envelopes" and do a mail merge, as others suggested, using my excel file. It takes me forever every year just to figure the darned thing out, but eventually I do. I just don't waste envelopes until I'm sure I've got it set up right! This lets me print directly on the envelopes.

When I want to print on labels, I buy the labels (Avery usually) and follow their instructions (included in the package) to set up my document and do it that way. It's pretty easy to follow their instructions of you have a running list of addresses set up, or you can type then all in at that point.

I do the same thing--the Avery labels come with instructions right in them. The return addresses are pretty simple.

Like a previous poster, I have all of the send to addresses in Excel, and every year it takes me forever to figure it out, but I eventually get it.

I used the Avery ones this year too. It's so easy and the instructions are included. Made my shower thank you's so much easier and I'll also use them for Christmas and birth announcements and anything in the future.
