I'm looking for a stylist who really listens, and I'd like to stay under $100 for the cut. I'm going for kind of trendy, but no pink highlights or anything like that.

Know of any great salons in the Austin area? I've found it's nearly impossible to get solid info on hairdressers via the net!

Not from Austin, so can't help you there, but I've moved several times and have had good luck with seeing someone who's hair is like mine and who's cut I like. I ask them where they go (and who cuts their hair).

I love my hairdresser! Her name is Mona Peters. She's on Powell street off of west 6th. 4784100. If that # doesn't work, PM me, and I'll look for it in my phone. I'm relying on my memory.

I LOVE my stylist! Her name is Kim Tolbert and she works at Kenneth's on Guadalupe. She is the first stylist that I have been consistently happy with...and the only person who's ever made my blonde lift light enough. I have been going to her for 2 years, since one of DS's school mom's referred me to her. She charges $120 for my cut + partial highlight...I rarely have a full highlight, since most of the time, she thinks I can get by with a partial.
