Yes!!! That's us! Of course, I'm not getting up at 5:30 but hey, that is what the DVR cable box is for. Thanks for posting this. That is great to know!

Thanks for the tip! Now I'll have to tell all our friends about it! We know some families with autistic children who are VERY interested in sign language and I think this would be perfect (not to mention free for them)!!! I'm so excited!

Cool! We'll get it at 5PM. I wonder if it'll just be the DVDs or something different.

Darn! Nothing here! You'll all have to report back on how they are.

Same here! I'm wondering if there's a way to contact our local PBS affiliates to ask them to carry it?

My understanding is that it'll be similar to the DVDs. A lot will be the same. I believe there are 13 episodes right now.

We'll be getting it, and, if I remember to watch, I'll review the show.

Cool. Thanks so much for posting this. We just got Vol 4-6 but you can never have too much Signing Times! Can't wait to share this info with my friends who don't have the DVDs.

According to the press release, they will be edited for broadcast and the lame "Rachel" sections (where she barely speaks" are being redone for vols 1-3 before they are broadcast.

Wha?? Toledo and Cinci, but no Cleveland or Columbus? That figures. Though we will live, DD still hasn't started on vol 5 or 6 yet.
Thanks for the post!

Thanks for posting this! Unfortunately, my city isn't on the list, but it's nice to know that it's even a possibility. Maybe I can write in to our local station and see if they have any plans of airing ST.

I know I posted about DS watching less TV, but DH and I have borrowed a few Signing Time DVDs from the library and DS is right at the stage where he's starting to imitate more hand gestures.

Fantastic!

Has anyone confirmed what the differences are between the two?
Thanks for any input.
And thank you to the OP for posting this!

From what I can tell, only the first 3 were any different. They were modified to add the more colorful and animated Rachel and an introduction that were changed for Volumes 4-9. So basically the TV versions are exactly the same in regards to content.

The signs themselves and the scenes with the real life kids are exactly the same.

The episode that aired here on Monday was exactly the same as Volume 4, "Family, Feelings and Fun"

So does one airing = 1 Signing Time DVD? IIRC, there are 9 volumes of ST, but there are supposedly 13 airings on TV. Does anyone know why there are 4 extra showings on TV? It might be too early to tell, but I was just curious.

At least for the first 4 episodes, they were following each Volume. Episode #1= Volume 1, etc. I too am curious what the extra 4 will be. Maybe repeats of the first ones if some viewers come on late?
