I am in school to become and X-ray tech and just had some custom L and R markers made. Most markers are plain with L/R and your initials. The right is usually red and the L is usually green. I found this lady that makes custom markers and I designed these. I have another set in the works that is semi-juvenile so as to distract children when we need to take x-rays. I was excited so I thought I'd share!

Those are gorgeous, and definitely much more fun than what I usually see used. :)

How much is radio-opaque? Do just the letters and arrow show up on the film? I think our markers are all put on digitally now, no real xrays in our hospital!

Those are cool.

When taking x-rays, the docs need to know which side they are viewing, so we put a L or R to determine which side is being looked at.

We are all digital too, but still use markers for the x-rays. The letters, initials, and arrow are the only things that show up.

I just got these in the mail today and can't wait to use them tomorrow!

Ordered another set for the kiddies and will post those when I see a picture from the lady that makes them.

Where did you get those? Those are SO COOL!!! I didn't know there was a place you can design your own markers!

I used to be an X-ray tech years ago.... this brings back memories.... Where are you going to school?
