Yeah Longhorns!! Way to pull it off! :)

Here is a picture from the UT campus that my brother
sent me. And, to quote my brother,

"What a beautiful site!"

Even though we lived in LA for six years, my DH was pulling for the Horns. He kept jumping up and down and yelling, and I had to keep shushing him as I didn't want DS to wake up!

What a great game--and I am not normally a football fan! Everywhere I go today I see Longhorn hats, shirts, etc., LOL!

Don't mess with Texas! ;)

UGH...I'm happy for the state of Texas however I am not a Texas fan at all. (Die hard AGGIES here) :) GIG 'EM

I was really neutral about the game (actually even wanted Texas to win for the Big 12) until Vince Young showed what an a*% he is when he didn't win the Heisman Trophy. He showed no class whatsoever which made me want him to lose the game. I just think USC is a classy team all around. It was a great game though!

I am ready for the craziness around Austin to end though. I can't stand to even go out right now.

On a side note last night I went to order a pizza and was told there was a 3 hour wait for Pizza Hut. Went to Little Cezars and there were no Pizzas there or at Dominos. I guess everyone was staying in and ordering Pizza. It looked like a ghost town around here.

Both my boyfriend and I went to USC (my bf just finished up his last semester 2 weeks ago). Needless to say, my bf was devastated by the loss. He was really hoping for a win to end his USC career on a high note (unless he ends up going to law school there that is). On an up note, however, my bf had a class with Reggie Bush this year and got him to sign a football for Conner for his birthday!

One big Texas fan here! We were very excited to say the least. I wish we were in Austin for all of the celebrating. We are probably going to go up for the parade when they have it.

Get this ... My DH sent me a dozen orange (peach really) roses yesterday for good luck - how sweet was that?

In reference to Vince Young beings and @** as mentioned by a PP, I have to say that he made a couple of comments after the Heisman ceremony that I thought were a little cocky, and I was unhappy about that. On the other hand, I was really impressed with Reggie Bush's speech and USC... until last night! I thought the USC players, specifically Matt Leinart were being a bit of sore losers, and I was really proud of Vince Young and the credit he gave to the outstanding USC team. I also thought that as the cameras panned the sidelines, Reggie Bush was being a little cocky too. I am sure it was a lot of raw emotion though and as athletes I think that is part of the intimidation factor (the cockiness not the sore loser part).

I thought it was a great game played by 2 great teams, and as a Longhorn, I am happy with the outcome!

As a side note, I have a lot of friends that are Aggies and so I wanted to post this t-shirt that I got via email. I have heard a lot of mixed reactions about it, so I hope it does not offend any Aggies! :)

Love the shirt! Aggies really do support other teams and Texans. Like I said I would have been all for Texas winning if it hadn't been for Vince Young's comments. Just soured me on the whole situation. I do think Mac Brown is a class act through.

A friend recently told me she is thinking of moving to Dallas and asked me what I liked about Texas. I had a whole list for her! Number one was that I think the nicest people in the world live in Texas! :)

I do love where we live now but I do miss so much. Texas BBQ, Texas pride and spirit, playing golf in January, etc. Mostly, I miss my whole family, all of whom are in Texas. :(
