Poor DD broke her foot yesterday. It's not as serious as it sounds - she's walking around on it just fine now. DH took her to the kiddie gym yesterday and she was bouncing on the trampoline, then started limping and refusing to use her right leg. DH took her to the doctor who said it was a Toddler's fracture in her foot, and is very common. Nothing showed on x-ray but it's basically a spider fracture that occurs because the bones are still tiny and porous and weak, and the muscles and tendons are very strong. She is already better and doesn't seem bothered by it, so I don't think there are any long-term effects, but has anyone heard of this before? I sure haven't and poor DH feels awful, like he broke our baby.
