Ugh I've been battling a cold for this whole week...it's not the flu just an on and off again cold with the chills and fever here and there. Today DS is showing signs of more coughing and he threw up a meal for no reason so I suspect he's catching something and I really wish he would not get sick. It's so hard to see him sick...so I thought I would ask if there's anything to do to avoid getting him sick. I can't exactly send him away until i get better.

No, probably not too much. First of all, your baby was probably exposed to your cold before you even knew you were sick.
Also, are you nursing? If so, keep doing it. You will have the antibodies in your milk from your cold, or whatever it is, and pass them to your baby. This will prevent him from getting sick, or at least as sick as you may be. (and will help with future illness).

Hope you all are healthy soon!
