Well to say the least we are extremely surprised! This was not in our immediate plans so it came as quite a shock. I guess we are doing good considering that we tried for Jackson for 3 years and ended up doing IVF. I was told that I only had a 1-5% chance of conceiving without IVF but somehow we have Tyler 2 1/2 years after Jackson. I just thought it was like lightening striking but now I am convinced that my fertility issues are gone. We are in no way prepared for this but feel blessed that we have been given this gift and are going to run with it.

I am scared wondering how I am going to do this since Tyler has been so challenging and my pregnancies tend to be really difficult. I was on bed rest for a big part of both of my pregnancies. I know it will all work out in the end but right now I am a little shaken up.

I have no clue when I am due. My first and last period since Tyler was in November but I really just started feeling bad this past week so I don't think I was pregnant in December. I could have been in denial though. The line was instant and DARK so I could be well into this. I am going to go into my OB tomorrow for an US and progesterone check. I have always had to supplement my progesterone and those that we didn't catch in time have ended in a MC. I am just praying that everything goes OK and it isn't tubal or my levels dangerously low. We didn't know we wanted this but now all I can think about is making sure this baby is OK.

For all who are TTC my one word to you is Glucophage. I got on it to treat my PCOD and try to feel better and have had 2 children that I was told wouldn't happen. Even though my issues were also tubal I really feel that this medication has done something to fix things. My RE pioneered the study on this and said women who wouldn't ovulate on regular fertility durgs got pergnant on this so it is a miracle drug. (At least for us!) :)

Thank you for all the well wishes and I will post an update tomorrow when I know more.

I was up at 4:45 this morning with Tyler so it has been a long day!

We went in to the doctor this morning and sure enough I am pregnant. I went in for an US and everything looked great. Good strong heartbeat and I am 7 weeks today! I am still in shock! I will get the results of my progesterone test tomorrow morning but since I am this far along it looks like things might be OK. I am having some mild spotting that started this morning but after the US I feel really good about things. I have had issues with bleeding with all of my pregnancies so this is nothing new to me.

Thank you all for the well wishes! Let's hope that things continue to go well. So far this is the easiest pregnancy I have had. :)

Today my OB called and said my progesterone levels are extremely low. She wants to see them above 16 and they are at 5. She said it will be hard to recover from but that it can be done. I am starting on massive doses of progesterone this morning which tends to make me feel really bad but hopefully will being my levels up. With Tyler I was at a 7 and recovered so I am hopeful. The baby was so strong yesterday so that is encouraging.

Please send any good sticky thoughts our way. I guess you never know how bad you want something until you think you might lose it. :)

Thank you all for your kind words and support!

I have had similar issues (2 MC due to low progesterone, PCOS, told I would need fertility treatments to get pregnant etc). Just wanted to let you know that with my first daughter, my progesterone was 7.5 and I was told to expect a MC. Thanks to lots of prayers and progesterone I now have a healthy 2 year old. Has your OB talked about putting you on aspirin? I'm not sure why, but it's supposed to help in situations like this according to my OB. It's good that the US looked good. With my DD, it took them forever to find her on the US and then her heart rate was half of what it was supposed to be. This baby of yours is obviously a fighter. I'll be praying that all goes well. Please keep us updated.
