View Full Version : What can I do for a blister on DD's thumb?

I have absolutely no idea how she got this blister, since she doesn't suck her thumb and she hasn't touched anything hot. I'm reasonably sure it wasn't there this morning, but when I was washing her hands after dinner I noticed it - and it covers almost the whole top of her thumb! I suppose she might have pinched it?

Anyway, what do I do for her now that it's there? Should I just leave it be or put neosporin and a band-aid on it? That's what I'd do for myself, but I'm worried she'd just get the band-aid off and choke on it.

Such a silly question! TIA!
Sarah :)

I'd just leave it alone. You don't want to open it, which will likely lead to an infection if your DD is anything like mine ;)

Sophie is only JUST starting to leave her Band-aids on, but I've had great success with using the Liquid Band-aid stuff in the past.

If it starts to look infected (maybe a splinter or something you can't see?), I would definitely call the Ped to have it looked at.
