I was copying my DD's pics to CD (thanks to those of you who suggested doing this!) and it seems that is every pic she has red eye. When I go to print them I always take the red eye out, but is there anyway to prevent it from happening? We have a Kodak EasyShare.
Thank,
Angie

Not really with a point and shoot camera. Some have a "red eye" reduction feature that when enabled will fire a small "pre-flash" just before your shutter releases and the normal flash goes off. Sometimes that will help dilate the subject's pupil to the point that the red eye will be minimal - most times it will simply cause you take a pic of someone with their eyes closed. ;)

The only reliable ways to prevent red eye that I know of is to not take pics in areas requiring a flash - or - if your camera supports an external flash - to buy one and bounce the flash off the ceiling or a wall. My Nikon external flash is almost always pointed directly at the ceiling when I take pics indoors of people.
