No, it's not for a kids' party (though she is a kid at heart!). We're planning my mom's 50th birthday bash for late this spring, and I would like to send invitations since it's nicer than email.

I printed the invitations for our wedding out myself, but it took for.ev.er. I don't have that kind of time anymore! Does anyone know of a place online (or B&M) where I could get nice invitations without breaking the bank? We will need 50 or so. Maybe if I made a photo collage (I've done them before, and I got Photoshop for Christmas) and did an invite through Shutterfly or similar??? All ideas welcome!

TIA!

why not get a baby pic of your Mom and do invites through shutterfly or kodakgallery? www.babyjcards.com does a great job, she did my baptism invites they are only about $1 per card. You can do them in black & white for a retro look. HTH!

I just sent out invitations for my mom's 50th birthday and they turned out really nice. I bought the blank invitatons from Office Depot. They are called Gartner Studios Invitations. You can then go to their website uprint.com and they let you design it using their own software or using Word. It took maybe 2 hours for designing and printing. It only took me that long because I was being indecisive. I was impressed!! The cards had a raised silver border and they looked expensive. Only $10 for 12! You can go their website and see all the invitation templates they have.

Edited to fix typo.

Alpana (pixelprincess) made my DD's 1st bday card invitations and I had them printed at winkflash.com. They had great prices and the card came out really nice. Plus winkflash got some great reviews here. Sony's image station had good prices too, but winkflash turned out to be just a bit cheaper. But both winkflash and sony came out to be waaayyy cheaper than shutterfly. My only advice is when you compare prices, look at their S&H charges, bc they can vary greatly.

I did photo invites for my BF's bridal shower. I did a 4x6 (though i'd opt for 5x7 now) w/ a gorgeous bouquet of pink roses as a semi-opaque background. I then did simple black script text on top.

I bought envelopes to match (A6 works perfect for a 4x6) at Jam Paper - http://www.jampaper.com.

I bought print @ home invitations at Target and printed them myself for my dad's 65th b-day. It was more of a time constraint than budget since my mom decided to have a party and needed the invitations out asap. The way it works is you go to their website (www.simple-print.com- printed on the invitation box) and you in-put all the pertinent info. Then it formats it, you hit print and feed the cards through your printer. It seriously took me about 20 minutes to do them and they looked great! They were very festive and looked professionally done. Best part about it was they were cheap- I think aboiut $5 for 10 invitations. They are in the cards/art dept on an end cap. Good luck!
