I have such a sensitive stomach and most all vitamins make me so sick. When I was trying to get pregnant with Jackson I took Prenate Advance and did OK on them. When I got pregnant I took Prenate GT and those were the easiest on my stomach. The manufacturer keeps on changing them and now they are Prenate Elite and they make me sooooo sick. I hate to admit that I haven't been great about taking them because usually when I do I throw them up anyway. I have been taking folic acid and Iron but nothing else. I manage to get them down and keep them down maybe 3 times a week. I know this is terrible.

I am going to my OB on Friday and am going to try to find something else but I thought I would check and see what is working for others. I just have to find something because I feel like such a looser not taking my prenatal vitamins like I should.

Tara, when they were making me sick, my OB sswitched me to 2 Flintstones vitamins/day. It did the trick through the 1st trimester for me. Then I switched to the store brand. During the 3rd trimester and now I take Optinate--which are the pricey fishy ones (probably not too good on the tummy, though).

They used to make a chewable prenatal vit. My friend took them they were shaped like red/pink hearts. Ask about those.

With this pregnancy I've been taking a vitamin I bought at my local health food store. It's taken 4x a day and I think the smaller doses taken throughout the day really helped with my 1st trimester nausea (whenever I ran out of them and took a regular multivitamin, I would feel really sick again). There were some other prenatal vitamins at the store that were even taken 6x a day, but I have enough trouble remembering to take mine 4x a day.

The one I take also has probiotics in it, that I think probably help too.

This is the one I take: NewChapeter Organics Perfect Prenatal

On the downside, it's expensive. Hmm. I just checked eVitamins, and it looks like their price is a little better than I pay at my local store.
