Dress-up trunk/clothes for a boy?

My good friends little boy is turning 3 soon and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to find good boy dress up clothes? I was kind of thinking train conductor, construction worker...that kind of stuff. I was hoping not to spend too much $$$ as I wanted to get a couple of outfits. Thanks for the help!

I was just at a Celebrations by Lillian Vernon (home based Lillian Vernon party, they sell different stuff than in her regular catalog) and they had dress up trunks for girls and boys. I am not sure of the quality but I know they were pretty inexpensive; My friend is a consultant and I've been to quite a few of her parties and the stuff seems to be pretty nice.

I had given up trying to find a dress up trunk for my boys. I had pretty much come to the conclusion that they didn't make one. Lillian Vernon sounds great!

Other ideas:

For my kids, I have used hats (construction, fireman etc.) from party stores - inexpensive. I have also bought Halloween clearance costumes at very reasonable prices (although this is not a great time of year for this).

Thanks for posting these 3 threads about dress-up clothes
for boys!!

This post reminded me that I should have printed out the
3 threads for reference and put it in my files. My son
is only 15 months old so it isn't top priority just yet,
but we are getting close! (Already, he is a hat-lover!)
