DS's big boy bed comes today!

We're getting a twin bed (no mattress) with drawers underneath and a chest of drawers. The delivery guys will bring it up to his second floor room (which is totally empty) and set it up.

Do I tip them? If yes, how much?

For you Chicago gals, this is from Darvin in Orland Park.

We never do, but always offer a drink (non-alcoholic, lol) and snack to the guys.

I knew you'd chime in, Lori!

My sister said the same thing--offer them something to drink. Good thing I just bought some bottled water!

We don't tip either, but also do offer a cold drink.

Yep - I offer a drink. Morning deliveries coffee or water ( I have disposable cups or bottled water), afternoon soda (if we have some in the house), or bottled water or lemonade. We've had a lot of deliveries lately.

Well, they've come and gone. I offered them a bottle of water, which they both took and that was it!

Whew!

Deb, how awful that you'd make your ds sleep without a mattress.

(hah hah)

;)

How does the bed look?

I was just thinking of Darvin today, actually-- we moved downstate 2 months ago and I need a lamp to go with the other things we bought from there a couple years ago! We still love all our stuff from there.

Bed looks awesome, the underbed drawers (well, one of them) had a crack, so those went back and they'll be redelivered.

DH is going to Sam's Club today to pick up a mattress and then we'll have to figure out the bedding. I bought two sets from Kohl's and we just have to see what they look like in the room. I also have to finished painting...didn't quite get that done before the furniture came. Oops!

I love the stuff we have gotten from Darvin as well. We have a Lane recliner that we got from their clearance room for about $150 over 7 years ago and it's still going strong!! It's been from Chicago to Los Angeles and back!
