with two boys my shower time is very limited and therefor i have no time to shave my legs. during pants season i am lucky to shave once every two weeks :o i am just wondering if my dh is the only one getting to cuddle up to furry legs or not :)

Once a week usually is all have time for. So, DH gets to cuddle up to prickly legs. Though I am trying to be a little more diligent these days as I don't want to delivering with hairy legs.

you all can get a good laugh out of this one: i went and had my legs waxed for the first time ever a week ago friday. prior to that, i had not shaved since the month starting with an "O"... it's too embarrassing to type out the whole word!

good thing i have an understanding DH!

This is crazy but sometimes, I will shave just one leg and then
do the other leg, the next day!!

So, one leg is nice and smooth, and the other leg has
a week's worth of hair on it. :) Looks pretty funny!!

I actually found out about 'Veet' foam from this board, and that's what I use during the "leg display" months. From October to, uhm, May or so, I just look like a Yeti. DH hates it, but I barely have time to wash my hair in the shower, so unless he wants to start treating me to 'massage and wax' spa days once a month, he'll cope.

Another once a weeker here! I am just too lazy. I wear pants to bed too so it doesn't matter!

i get my legs waxed once a month. DH just has to suffer that last week, when it gets close to the next visit!

I'm taking the Murphy's law approach to this - if I don't shave them, I'll go into labor. It ain't working yet...

my dh is very understanding. i am also very lucky. my leg hair is very fine and blond(ish) and does not feel prickly. i think i shaved last february. i know this because i went to florida. i honestly don't know that i have shaved since then. i wear capris in the summer and my leg hair is not noticeable (in my opinion) - if it is, then it gives my legs some color - as i am quite pale and choose not to tan.

i didn't vote, as i can't say never (i'm leaving for florida in a couple of days... i may shave...) but it is sadly/or gladly not even once a month.

I usually - but not always - shave when I go to the beach. So between September and June, I very rarely shave. I also very rarely go to the beach. :)

Hee hee, I went to a wedding on Sat and was sad that I had to shave since I knew that it will grow back stubbly, I was getting quite use to the softness of my unshaven legs :) I used to shave at LEAST once a week in the winter before I had my two boys, now I'm lucky if I even GET to bathe!

ETA: Amy, the last wedding I went to was in a month starting with "O", and that was also the last time my legs saw a razor :)

I have never shaved my legs. I have very fine, blond leg hair and shaving it would just make my legs bumpy and red with ingrown hairs. I think I look fine without the bother.

I voted once a month, but it's probably more like every three weeks or so. (Unless I find I don't have time when I'm "due" for a shave.) I also use the Jergens lotion that's designed to help you shave less often though, and that actually works really well for me. So I probably really only need to shave about that often. Even when I let it go a bit too long though, it's not really horribly visibly on me - it's fairly fine and thin, so I guess I'm relatively lucky.

During the summer, I try to do it about every two weeks or so, but then, I also hate wearing shorts, so I've been known to only do the bottom half to go with my skirts/capris.

OMG, I thought it was so gross that I would go a few weeks without shaving - I thought I was doing something horrible :) It is SO nice to hear that I am not the only one, and that it is not so yucky after all, LOL.

Thanks for asking this question,
Barbie

Sometimes I do just the tops (above the knee) or just the bottoms (knee and below)!.

Ditto, except my leg hair is very thin and although it's dark brown, it's not really noticeable. I do occasionally pluck stray long dark hairs, but maybe only once a month.

That's what my Saturday morning shower is for, while DH has Payton downstairs for breakfast :) I'm lucky if I get another shave in anywhere else during the week.

Once, maybe twice a month. Periodically I look longingly at all the cute skirts hanging in my closet and then think "Nah, I'd just have to shave and that's more trouble than it's worth."

I am jealous of the mamas with fine light hair, I have dark hair on pasty winter-white legs and it is NOT a good look. ;)

Pam,

You are a better woman than I am!! Once I get to
cold weather and I can wear pants, then I don't shave
above the knee!

But you're talking to the daughter of a woman who never
shaved during the winter season because she said that the hair
growth kept her knee socks up! :) That was my mom, for ya!!
