Which should my daughter wear for 1 year pictures?

I have finally gotten my act together and made an appointment for my daughter's one year pictures (better late than never!). I originally thought it would be cute to have her wear jeans and a white shirt. I posted over on reality layette for shirt suggestions, and after many good ideas, I thought I had narrowed it down to this one:

Well, I got to nosing around some more in reality layette, and found a dress I really like as well:

Now I can't decide which to go with! What does everyone think?

If it matters, I think I will have her go barefoot no matter which option we choose.

I am partial to the jeans and t-shirt option as that's what I chose for my own DD's 1-year photos. I figured that jeans and a T were my best option if I wanted a look that won't be too dated and to avoid her asking me, "Mom, why did you dress me as such a dork?" when she's ten or so LOL!

I like the idea of the jeans adding a bit of color to the picture. I'd definitely go with the jeans and white shirt. The dress is nice, but it's TOO white, if that makes any sense.

I'd go with the dress. It's simple and timeless. While the jeans would definitely be cute, she'll be wearing jeans for the rest of her life -- I'd take advantage of this narrow window where you can dress her in something so precious and innocent.

But I love both of your choices. Be sure and post the photos afterward!

I'm sure she'll be adorable whatever you choose, but I'm partial to the shirt and jeans. Maybe it's because the dress model is older, but it looks a little "mature" for a 12-month old, IMO. Plus, in the shirt you'll get to see her little arms (my DD has great chubby arms that I wanted to take advantage of in her pics).

I'm not normally a dress-type person and not one to talk since I always dress DS older and he never looks like a baby--but I really like the dress. It's simple and I think would look more like a 1-year-old than jeans--IYKWIM? Jeans and a white shirt would be very cute too though, I don't think you can really go wrong, but I think the dress and barefoot with a nice rich background would be a really nice keepsake photo.
