Gift for 7 year old?

Need a gift for 7 year old little girl who I don't see often (so I really don't knwo her interests). I'm totally out of the loop as to what this age group would enjoy. Last year I bought her a bunch of books that were my favorites as a little girl so I don't want to do books again. I would prefer to order online since I have to ship it out of state anyway. Any ideas? TIA!

When my niece was that age, she liked anything crafty: beads, jewelry making kits, art supplies, colored pens and paper and stuff like that.

I was also going to say Art stuff. Here is a coloring book
recommendation that everyone loves. I actually had one
when I was young and it is wonderful. :)

My DD will be 8 next month and here is a list of things she likes:

*music CDs (she loves the Kidz Bop ones)
*Polly Pockets (although I am sick to death of them)
*DVDs (Princess Diaries, Pacifier, Elf are current faves)
*clothes (I usually buy from Children's Place since they have decent quality for a good price and they're usually not cheesy)

We are tired of bead-y, crafty things - way too many over the past 2 years. One gift we gave that apparently was extremely well received were gift cards to a movie and for an ice cream place next door. Consumable, no clutter, and allows for quality time w/ a parent. Just a thought.

Ny niece who is 7.5 likes...
Books- really into reading, favorite right now is American Girl books

Her American Girl doll- endless amt of stuff you can got to go with them if they have one

Movie-Annie, always talking about this movie and loves to perform it

Craft stuff- really into the foam piece items/kits, and stamping. A craft book of ideas she'll spend hours going through.
