Thanks to Deb for keeping everyone up to date, and to all who welcomed Logan to the world!

I'm not going to try to write a birth story yet, but will say that we had the drug-free birth that we wanted, and that our doula was worth her weight in gold (I highly recommend one to everyone having a baby)!!

But, I am still in the hospital. I was discharged yesterday but landed right back in last night with extreme pain due to a pelvic separation and a fever of unknown origins. They expect me to be in a couple more days until they sort all this out, and get the pain under control. Fortunately, I was put back on the postpartum floor so that Logan can stay with me and continue to breastfeed, though my mom and dh are taking turns staying here since I can't get out of bed.

Logan has been very mellow so far (unlike Colin, who was a very fussy newborn, even still in the hospital). He's nursing like a champ and even wakes himself every 2-3 hours to eat. My milk came in yesterday afternoon, so he has plenty to work with, lol! Logan looks just like Colin as a newborn, except Colin had darker hair. Colin is pretty intrigued with his new baby, though very disappointed that mommy and baby aren't coming home yet. I'm going to try to post a shortly-after-birth picture and will share a better one soon! OK, attachments aren't working for me now - I'll have to try later!

Congratulations, Lori! Logan sounds wonderful. I am sorry you're back in the hospital -- I hope you heal quickly and I'm glad you and Logan can stay together. Also glad to hear that the breastfeeding is going well. You were one of my heroes in my early days of breastfeeding and pumping -- I learned so much from your posts!

Congratulationsn again, and I'm so happy that you had the birth you were hoping for!! How great that you really liked your doula too (I agree...a good one IS worth her weight in gold!! or platinum!)

I hope that you get some relief very soon from the fever and pelvic separation. Crossing my fingers that you and Logan will be home soon :)

Glad BFing and snuggling that little one is going so well :)
