Well I used 2 different calendars. One was just a chart w/ my age at the time of conception, and the month of conception it said a girl.
The 2nd calendar I looked at actually figured your lunar age by you typing in your date of birth and then you typed in either your due date or your the date of your last period I don't realy remember. Either way it said I was having a boy! When I later read other sites it said the calendar only works w/ your lunar age. Since it is a chinese calendar and they do not use the same calendar as we do.
Well at 23 weeks the ultrasound said Im having a boy. So the lunar one was accurate. I know people who sware by that thing, but it does say its just for fun. Id hold off on buyin ALL blue for now though.

HTH :)

The websites I dont really remember exactly I just typed in 'chinese pregnancy calendar' on google and went down the line.

(Sorry for such a long explanation)

It was right for DS. For baby number 2 it says girl and I'm hoping that's correct too.

So far it has been right on both my boys and for all of my friends and family who have done it. This time it is saying Girl but I am almost cartain I am havng another Boy so we'll see. I wouldn't go out and buy blue based on the calendar but it is fun to look and see if it comes out right. :)

When I was pregnant with both boys I did it (don't remember if I did a lunar one or not) and they were both supposed to be girls.

BUT, I just checked right now and did a lunar calendar and Charlie was right, but it still says that Max is supposed to be a girl....oh wait, it won't clock in that he was conceived in 04, it keeps switching it to 03, 2004 won't calculate. Nevermind, I just started from the begining and yeah, Max is a boy too!

So...I guess that the Lunar one was right.

I would still hold off and wait for an ultrasound or just buy GN stuff.

It was right for me, too. I say go ahead and buy blue. Girls can wear it, too! ;)

Both the lunar and regular calendar told me to expect a girl. Not correct for me, but fun anyway.

We looked after he was born. And yup, it was right for Payton.

And as a side note, unless it takes us 'til December to conceive again (never say never) the next one would be a girl according to the calendar.

I remember doing it when I was pregnant with Anna and I couldn't tell (I didn't know in which month I conceived). Anyway, going back now, and kind of guessing, the calendar was wrong for Anna and correct for Kieran. Also, the lunar calendar is very different thant the basic Chinese calendar (that one was wrong both times). It is fun though, isn't it??

It was correct for my first two children, i.e. predicted boys. This time the non-lunar calendar said girl but, at almost 13 weeks, my perinatologist was 90% certain it was a boy. His prediction was confirmed at my 16 1/2 week ultrasound. So, no pink for me but I'm estatic because he's healthy! Also, I'll get to use the name we picked for a boy which never would have worked for a girl.

It was wrong for all 3 of ours!

It was right for my sister, but it was vague for me-- I wasn't sure which day was my conception day, and the calendar said boy for one day, girl for the other (so I guess it was right-- it just hedged it's bets! ;) ).

Right both times! One Ds and one Dd.

Your post reminded me of my DD before we found out our 2nd is another girl. She kept referring to the baby as "he" and, if we asked her what she thought the baby was, she ALWAYS said boy. But when we found out it's going to be a girl, she quickly adapted to talking about her instead. But I was convinced it was a boy because I thought she must have some kind of sister's intuition! :)

...and another GIRL due 5/29/06!

For lunar, I'd have to know the conception date so I guessed, and if my guess were the right date, the calendar would be wrong.

On the Chinese Calendar, it was wrong with C and right with W.

It's been 100% accurate -- 2 out of 2 for me -- both boys.

Do I place faith in the calendar? Not really, but it was kind of fun that it "worked"!
