What's in the gift bags given to the PRESENTERS at the OSCARS???

Just read in my InStyle magazine that the presenters
gift bags from last year were worth over $150,000.
That is just crazy!

So, that got me curious!! What's in those bags??? :)

I've read in years past that they include a Longaberger basket. I don't remember any other specifics but know that it includes other high-end items.

You can check out this site-it gives some info on the goods the celebrities get. (Also, the NY Daily News had a bit on it). The Academy doesn't comment since the bags are "gifts", but it's probably because they know it's over the top.

I've read in magazines, and seen on TV that the gift bags from the Oscars, and other events contain things like gift certificates for vacations at exclusive island resorts, the latest cell phone/electronic gadget, gift certs for lasik surgery, designer bags/glasses/shoes/jeans. Diamond watches and other jewelry.

It's pretty crazy.

I believe one year they gave away Lazy-boy recliners!! I think the big ticket items also include stuff like trips to island resorts etc. But yeah..its so weird giving away all that stuff to people who need it the least!!
