DD flips her tongue upside down, similar to how one would flip a pancake. I never rwally thought much of it until my dh's cousin commented on it and the whole family (myself included)tried to imitate her with no success.
Just wondering if maybe babies' tongues are extra flexible for awhile?

Do you mean side to side or front to back?

DS2 would actually roll his tongue back and suck on it. He outgrew that at around 9 mos.

hmmm... I always heard tongue tricks are hereditary. Like rolling your tongue or making a clover.

I believe that's a genetic trait- I remember talking about something along those lines in high school biology. Some people can flip it, some people can roll it if I remember correctly.

Alicia, FWIW I can *still* flip mine like a pancake. :) So she may never grow out of it, lol!

Yes, it is a genetic trait.
