For all those of you well wishers who read my panicky post a month ago, when my midwife was sure the baby was coming prematurely, and I had been put on strict bedrest...I'm still here, and still pregnant!

I was taken off of bedrest as of this week, and now the midwives are thinking I may actually go all the way to my due date! I am so glad she wasn't born too early (like at 32 weeks as I had feared). But now I am in so much discomfort and pain, I secretly wish she would just hurry up and come now :) I feel like a huge beached whale that is about to burst at any moment! I don't think my body can take it anymore...UGH. If I hadn't kept such strict tabs on my cycles, I'd think I was long over due at this point.

So, I'm just hanging out playing the waiting game at this point. My mom came last week from TX to help out and be here for the birth, but she's going home for awhile since it now appears she could be here for another month before little miss makes her appearance!

This sure has been an exciting roller coaster! Thank-you to all of you for your prayers and good thoughts--they definetly helped!

I'm sorry you are so uncomfortable but so glad that she is still baking. :) Congratulations on making it this far and surviving bedrest!

First, can I say that I can't believe a month has passed?? WOW!

I'm so glad that your baby decided to hang out for quite a while longer...what a relief!! I'm sorry you are in discomfort, but soon enough you'll be holding your healthy, happy little one and all of that will be behind you :)

The good thoughts continue to come your way...wishing you an easy labor and a healthy baby :) Enjoy being off of bed rest!!

Yay! This is fabulous news. I've been wondering how you were doing, so I'm glad you posted this.
I'm sorry you're uncomfortable. I remember that feeling during the last month of pregnancy when you just want your little one to come out. Hang in there! I'm sending lots of positive energy your way, and also wishes for an easy labor.
Take care, and keep us posted!

It's nuts, isn't it? The same thing happened to me last year -- 6 weeks of (worry-filled) bedrest and then my OB wanted to induce me at 39 weeks & change. HA! I know now that the bedrest was preemptive and CYA on my OB's part, and certainly better than a preemie. Hang in there - she'll come out when she's ready (mine decided that she didn't want to be induced either!). :) Congratulations on making it this far!

I, too, can't believe that a month has passed already! From the sounds of things, I would think that you won't have to wait much longer, and I hope that you have a great last few weeks!

THAT'S GREAT!!! I hope the discomfort subsides some, pregnancy isn't always easy! That coming from a girl who knows all about bedrest and various pain. She'll be here soon! Can'y wait to hear the birth story!
