Okay, I'm curious. Can you explain more? I don't know what a freezer wrap machine thingy is, but I have to find out now! :)

LOL. I have no clue what to call it. But its the machine that wraps your food so that its airtight for freezing food. A while ago I saw an informercial on one, and I think I've seen a demo at a home show. Of course, now that I'm considering buying one, I can't remember what it is that I'm looking for. :)

The Foodsaver is what we have.

We got ours from Sam's Club, though.

I got a Foodsaver for my mother several months ago at Costco for ~$200, including an extra roll of plastic (I think). She just started using it now, and absolutely loves it. I was very impressed with how easy and well it wrapped some frozen fish for her. I've heard many, many good things about the Foodsaver.

I have a FoodSaver and LOVE it! I use it several times a week. :D

Ahhhh! I agree with everyone else that it sounds like a Food Saver. I purchased one from Kohls a few weekends ago and really like it except when I tried to package up some freeze dried fruits. It's definitely not a good thing when we hear the food cracking and breaking as you're vacuum sealing it! LOL I take full responsibility for that one, though, and think that the Food Saver is actually a pretty cool thing to have around.

So... I went to the Foodsaver website (www.foodsaver.com) and there are so many choices!!

I buy my meat in large packs (like 6 lbs of ground beef) then separate it into 1 pound packs. And I buy LOTS of other stuff frozen that needs to be repackaged after I get home from the store (like breakfast foods). Plus I would love to over cook and be able to save the food.

Do I need a heavy-duty professional? Can I go with the least expensive and still be happy?
