Out of the mouths of babes huh?

I will share my daughters lovely questiong with you...

Abigail asked me the other day, in front of people, "Mommy, why are you stinky?"

I tried to pick my jaw up off the floor and explain that Mommy had just gotten done working out and was on the way to take a shower.

Ugh!!!! You gotta love the fact that they have absolutely no filter in what they say.

Thanks to everyone for noticing! I truly did not mean to hijack the Corie's post, but I appreciate all of you noticing what is going on for Abigail and I.

I am blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life and he has been in my life since 1997. :) I met my STB-DH in 1997 and we became involved and then things just kinda "died-down" for us. I am lucky that he remained one of the best friends that a person could ever ask for! So far he has been there for me through almost every rough spot in my life, including when my father passed away several years ago.

We hadn't really been in close contact during my marriage b/c of geography, busy lives and personal relationships, but I have always known her was there for me and I for him. After my XH left and the divorce was in the process, Doug called me b/c it was my birthday and a milestone one at that and he wanted to see how I was holding up. ;) We ended up reconnecting and he fell right back into being my confidant/knight-in-shining-armour.

He proposed very recently and we decided to get married at the beginning of the summer so that Abigail will have time to settle in before we start her in her new school in our new town. Needless to say I am so unbelievably excited about this new chapter in our lives. Abigail is absolutely in love with Doug and he is convinced that the sun rises and sets on her so... as long as I can keep her from becoming to rotten we have a beautiful life ahead of us.

So I am in the last crazy stretch of classes and then I have 2 weeks to pack up and get ready to move before our wedding. The fun part is that I am planning this wedding from 3 hours away. Doug lives 3 hours southwest of here so.... it should be an interesting month for Abigail and I. Actually, it will be an interesting summer for us as well.

Again thanks for noticing and sorry about the hijack Corie!!!

P.S. Here are the 2 great loves of my life...

I know I'm late to catch this, but I'm so happy for all the positive thigns happening in your life! I haven't seen you around much in a long time, but remember all the crazy things happening at the beginning of this school year. robyn, congratulations! that is a great Love Story, with caps.

corie, today as i was buttoning my jeans, DD wailed with wide-eyed alarm "no, mama! not those pants, too tight, TOO TIGHT!"

children are very humbling.

Oh, Corie!

Your DD and my DS should get together...

In the middle of a family dinner, DS got off of his chair, walked over to me, put both hands on my boobs, and started squishing them while asking, "Mommy, what are these big things?"

Luckily, there were no subsequent choking incidents by the rest of the diners. :P

Nicole - sort of on the same theme as that one....

The other day Paolo said to me, "What are those things called that you feed Marco with - big floompa loompas?" I burst out laughing because it caught me so off guard and it actually seemed like a good description! So of course, he has since taken to calling them "big floompas" and it's not so funny anymore.

I am SO getting a lift when this baby is done nursing!
