I had emailed her a while ago, when there was a post in the lounge. She wrote me back today. Please continue to keep Jera and her family in your thoughts and prayers. They face so many challenges every day and really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for their well being!!
Here is some of her email:
Thanks for thinking of us. I have not been around the boards for several reasons. First, I gave up the internet (except for twice a week email and online banking) for Lent. I was reading a lot of blogs and the boards, and found I was spending too much time (that I didn't really have) online. Second, Natalie, although doing well physically, is taking up more time lately. We have added two additional specialists (Pulm and GI) to our list. So it seems like we still have at least one doctor's appt a week most weeks. Both of the new docs have added more meds, and the PULM nutritionist wants Natalie to gain more weight ( at 7 months actual/3 corrected she is not quite 8 pounds), so we have added concentrated Neosure on top of nursing to see if that helps. I am pretty sure I will stop pumping soon. Although I feel guilty about it, I am still BFing the majority of the day, and using the Neosure is just easier that trying to nurse, then pump, then give a fortified bottle. There are not enough hours in the day. Carter and Maddie are healthy, although they definitely try my patience daily. They are typical toddlers - C will be 3 in May, and Maddie is 18 months. I am so excited about nicer weather around the corner. It has been a tough winter being stuck inside our 800sq ft house with three kids.
So Natalie seems to be doing well, but Jera sounds understandably tired.
Please offer your words of support for this very strong mama. She may find a spare moment to peek in one of these days!!
(((Hugs Jera!!)))
