Anyone else experience this pesky problem? Any cleaning solutions that are safe and effective?

TIA!!

That's hard water residue. So maybe a product designed to clean that?

Yep I agree - hard water residue. I live in an area of VERY hard water and have to get rid of residue every time I clean. Try Vim Bathroom cleaner - seems to work the best/easiest. Hmm I was just looking it up and think Vim might be a Canadian product. If you can't get it, try CLR bathroom and kitchen cleaner - it is also good.
