I just got this from a friend and laughed out loud. Parents of toddlers, enjoy! :)

Oh dear. This totally made me laugh, but Kaya saw it and she started crying. I mean, just suddenly she started crying for absolutely no reason. Sigh.

Supports the theory of a tantrum being a conditioned response. x( :-) x(

It is hilarious that the parents recorded the episode. I am glad I don't have speakers at work as I probably would have been laughing harder if I could have heard it!

ETA - I just told DH about this. DH said when the kid grows up he will be in sales because he won't take "no" for an answer when he tries to close.

Thanks for the laugh! What a riot!!!

If those parents are smart, they'll channel that persistence and he'll be an amazing success one day!

That is too funny!

DD saw part of it and watched quietly, so crying thank goodness. I didn't even think about sympathy crying until I read Eileen's post. We have a lot of sympathy crying that goes on here. *sigh*

That is hilarious! I especially like that he just drops to the ground as soon as he sees them. DH will get a kick out of this, thanks!

That's hilarious!

We had a public meltdown in CVS yesterday, but as soon as I walked away (across the aisle) and stopped paying attention to ds, it was over. Funny how that happens...

I kind of thought that it was part funny part sad. That baby is obviously asking for love and attention from his folks. For us his attempt at manipulation is obvious and not sophisticated, that's why it's funny, but for him, his pain at this moment is real. I kind of expected them to go hug him at the end of the video.

I guess I saw it differently (not asking for love from his parents). A few months ago, DS would have thrown a fit like that if I told him he couldn't have any more M&Ms. It wouldn't be because he wanted love, it would be because he wanted chocolate. I can totally see the kid in the video doing the same thing.

Cracks me up and I think it won them $10,000 on Funniest Home Videos if I remember correctly. :D
