I"m trying to find something similiar to Brita, but for the shower/tub. Specifically, something to remove lead. Thank you! :)

I've never heard of just a filter, but I know they make tubs and showers that have them built in. I also know you can get a whole house filter. HTH.

This is going to sound crazy but the guy on Blowout (reality tv on Bravo) has a new shower filter called Beauty Water. They sell it at Sephora I think. It is just for the shower though and I don't know if it removes lead but it is a filter of some sort.

This is the one recommended by Consumer Reports, I believe:

It's the same as the Jonathan one, he just smacked his name on it and doubled the price.

Several people on the MakeupAlley boards say there is a far cheaper no-name brand version at Home Depot that works just fine.

Here are the MA threads about the Aquasana:

With regards to lead: are you on well water or municipal water? If you're getting municipal water, the only source of lead is going to be your home's pipes, since there are standards for municipal water. Older homes can have pipes that can leach lead. This is mainly a problem first thing in the morning when the water has been sitting in your pipes overnight. In our older house, we ran the cold water for a few minutes each morning. This got rid of the water that had been sitting for a long period of time. I have heard this recommended as well; this isn't just something my dad made up.

If you're on well water, I'm not able to help.

Thanks, Katie.

We are on municipal water, but our apartment is at least 50 years old, and definately has lead in the pipes. Some of the other moms in the nearby buildings have said that before they knew of the lead problem, their children were coming back from the ped office with high levels of lead in their systems. :(

We do try to let the water run for a couple of minutes first thing in the morning, and we have a Brita on the kitchen facuet, but ds loves to "swim" in the tub, and I know he's injesting small amounts of the icky water everyday. Just trying to investigate all the options.

I totally was going to answer this the same way! Jonathan has created just such a thing! I didn't know if it was on the market yet, or what the details were, but I know I saw it on his show recently.
