Inside the paper tray or paper feeder of your printer? That's where Roley put DH's keys at that age once.

Good luck finding them!

In the trash or the Diaper Champ (at least, that's where Payton would have done it when he was around that age)?

In the cushions on the couch or chair, in the toybox (ours has drawers-- he was fascinated by that for awhile), in the midst of the stuffed animals or under a blanket in the crib...

Good luck!

My DD put our remote control "to sleep" in her doll cradle and covered it up with a blanket...took awhile to find that one!

Mine have been gone for over 6 months.. I've resigned to the fact that DD "hid" them in the trash :(

I guess I didn't look everywhere. Thanks, I will keep those places in mind for next time :). I am not someone who normally loses things (at least not for good) so I was really worried that I was starting to lose it. Anyway, maybe that's why I have trouble throwing things away - you never know what might be in the piles!

Oh yeah, DD likes to put the remote in the basket of her doll stroller.

Second the Diaper Champ - DS put one shoe from two different pairs of Robeez in his at that age!

My sister once lost her keys and assumed it was DN who had hid them - only to much later find them *inside* the lining to her diaper bag! Apparently the lining is removable and the keys had fallen between the liner and the shell. :)

In a similar vein, I have a purse that sometime eats my keys. A hole has developed in the lining of the pocket where I keep my keys, and sometimes they fall in and hide under the lining of my purse.

The first time it happened I thought I was loosing my mind. I clearly remembered putting my keys in my purse, and I could hear them rattling in the purse when I shook it, but they weren't in the pocket or anywhere else that I could see.

Probably time to buy a new purse ...

on the window sill behind the blinds. my son did that to my mom when we were at the beach with her one time. took us 3 days to find them.

or inside the VCR. another fav. spot around here.

gaddy (grandaddy) lost his glasses for weeks and meemommy finally found them in a mixing bowl. a certain someone had come to visit and had played in the cabinets...

I know you have already found them, but one place I look is in the umbrella stand.

I was going to say garbage can. DD is fascinated with it and throws EVERYTHING there. Sigh.

Ask her! I swear, one day I couldnt find my cell phone, and I said "wilson, where is mommy's cell phone?" he walked right over to his play kitchen, opened the fridge, and handed it to me! Even at one year old, she will understand.

The same thing happened to us! We asked "where are Daddy's keys" and DS went to our closet and pulled them out of the pocket of the shoe-thing hanging on the door.

Payton *always* knows where he last took off his shoes, hat, sunglasses, coat... where he last put his dinosaur or a specific book or toy... I don't know why I bother looking without asking him!

DS once hid his sippy cup in the refrigerator in his room. Yep, I never thought he'd put it where it goes! So, I spent hours looking for it (after I'd gotten him a new, clean one) and he never once said a word!

So, for future advice, I'd say start with where it goes, if there's a such a corresponding place in your DC's room! :)

Glad you found them.

I would have said Diaper Champ or the in the seat of his ride-on car (his absolute favorite hidey spot).

Here's another vote for inside the VCR...

DD used to put sandwiches in there! I guess she thought it was like a toaster.
