When you have your refund deposited electronically, do they send you a confirmation e-mail? Or do the funds just show up in your account one day?

I don't think I've ever gotten an email. The funds just show up. This is true for both Fed and our state.

The funds just show up. The only email that we received was to inform us that the IRS had received the tax forms.

Same here. We've done this the past several years and the funds just show up one day!

No email. They just show up. Makes for a nice surprize when you go the the ATM to get cash and your balance is higher than you thought! But you can use the "Where's my refund" link to check and see the expected deposit date. This has always been accurate for me.

Afterwards, if you filed by paper you might get a notice in the mail saying that it was deposited. This seems hit or miss.

Our funds just showed up as well. From Federal and two different states.

Thanks! There is an amount in our account that seemed too small to be our refund but too large to just be a mistake on our part. I checked the link and our rfund is not due for a couple weeks yet so I guess I am off to the bank to investigate.
