View Full Version : Has anyone seen the "stick it" movie? Is it ok for 10 year old?

My daughter loves gymnastics but I wonder if this movie will be too much for her to see. Does anyone know what ages the movie is geared towards? Is it ok for little girls to see? Or is it too grown up for them? I saw a preview and it looked a bit too grown up for my daughter. Just wondering what others thought.

Thanks,

Jessica.

If you don't mind probably spoiling the movie for yourself, you can always check out the incredibly detailed parents reviews at http://www.screenit.com/

They give detailed information about words used (profanity as well as just "naughty" words, bad attitude, bad example (dangerous things kids might try at home), etc.

I think they still are free for movies that have been out a while, but you might have to pay to see new reviews.

ETA: I just tried, and by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking "no thanks" I could access the review. If my DD were old enough to watch movies I'd consider joining though.

I read previews for the movie, and it sounds like a teen thing. Very MTVish, if I'm not totally dating myself!

Isn't it by the same people that made Bring it On? That cheerleading flick with Kristin Dunst? If it is ANYTHING like that I would not take a 10 year old. Very sexual, full of double meanings, some crass humor etc. It is rated PG13 as well (just like Bring it On was).
