I was given a hand-me-down toy box with crayon all over it. I thought it would come off easily, but some faint lines are still lingering. I've tried the Magic Eraser, and some cleaning products. Any suggestions?

try alcohol (you can purchase it at the drug store for less than $1 any percent concentration will do), you may have to rub a little, but it does wonders on plastic.

Maybe WD-40? This works really well at getting sticker glue off plastic, so it might work. Just wash it with detergent afterwards.

I was really hoping that alcohol would work, but no such luck. The crayon is embedded into the rough surface of the plastic. I will have to try something else, but thank you so much for the suggestion!

I found that orange oil, not the orange cleaners, but the actual orange oil (maybe called orange glo) worked awesome. It was in a small bottle, marketed to remove adhesives and grease. It smells strongly, not coincidently, of citrus, but worked really well. I used it with a scouring pad on a plastic toy chest and it removed most of the marks.

Try calling Crayola and asking them. My sister did that when she washed some clothes with a crayon, and whatever they suggested worked like a charm.

Since it is a rough surface you should use an abrasive, like the PP mentioned. I typically use Ajax with bleach (Silver label in a can) on a sponge and rub lightly.
