dvd/vcr combo recommendations??

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good dvd/vcr combo? I did some checking on the review sites, but they have not been that helpful. I finally bought a toshiba that seemed like a good deal, and came home and found that the one and only review of it was from a guy who bought 2, both of which broke after 6 mos...so, I am returning the toshiba.

I'm off to Costco tomorrow (Sunday) morning. If anyone has one they like that has lasted, I would love to know about it.

we just bought one at costco and have been pleased with it. the brand is lite-on or liteon and i think it was about $165. it's a newer brand, but if there are any problems with it costco has the best return policy in the industry (just hang on to all the parts/cables - and the box is helpful too).

we bought this one at Walmart about six months ago and it has worked great...

It is pretty basic and inexpensive which is what we were looking for.
