Camcorders

We've already missed capturing so many of dd's cute moments on video, but dh and I would like to go ahead and get a camcorder for all of the cute moments to come. I'm so stuck on figuring all of it out (which type of media to get, etc). We don't want to spend too much (definitely <500), but we don't want something not worth having either. I'd love to hear about your video camera you love or hate and why. We'll be using it for all of the normal family stuff...nothing requiring any fancy features at this point. TIA!

We have a Sony Handicam we got from Ebay just after DD was born and we like it a lot. It's really easy to use and compact and has a cable that you can hook up to the computer or to the TV. it's easy to turn he footage into DVDs. I think we paid under 500 but I'd have to ask DH to make sure. You can try half.com or ebay to find some deals. HTH!
