Good for him, he seems like a really good guy. Definitely better not to win and be stuck doing all the cheesy idol stuff. I love the show, but they do make them do some stuff that is pretty juvenile, and he is an adult not a teeny bopper.

I've thought about this before... that for someone with real talent like Chris, it would be better to get "noticed" but kicked off early. The AI winner gets locked into contractual stuff that seem limiting more than liberating. However, I think the whole top 12(?) have contractual obligations.
