Any northern Indiana Moms out there?

We're going to be moving to northern Indiana pretty soon, and I'm hoping that there are some moms out there so I can hopefully have some ready made friends. :)

Yes, we are insane. :P

Actually it was a pretty easy decision to make. All of my husbands family is in IN. The only thing keeping us in Missoula is his job. He finally decided he would rather be closer to his dad and find a new job.

And, I really want Matt to grow up with family around. If anything happened to us here in Missoula, we wouldn't have anyone to depend on to take care of Matt that I would be comfortable with. I want him to be able to go fishing with Daddy and Grandpa, hang out with all of his cousins, etc.

So, I'll miss the beauty of Missoula, but I think it's a pretty fair trade.

Right now we're looking specifically at Nappanee.

I'm currently in Indianapolis but I went to a boarding school about 30-40 miles from Nappanee. You'll only be about 2.5 hours from Indy if you need a road trip :-)

My DH is from there (we're in Indy now). His dad was the principal of the HS and his mom taught kindergarten there. I bet Nate may even know your DH. How old is your DH?

Well, your reason for leaving Missoula is exactly the reason I want to move back to Montana- to be close to family. :-) Sounds like we are in similar situations, the only reason we are in Michigan is for a job. DH is currently looking for opportunities out West. Anyone know of a company in the Mountain time zone looking for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer? ;-)

DH was never in school there. My fil was born there, then moved in Ohio, but is back in IN now, specifically on Lake Tippecanoe (Leesburg). His name is Dennis Miller and his father and mother were Arthur and Jane Miller. Scott's cousins did go through the school system, though I can't think of their last names right now.

ETA: It just came to me! They are Kerry, Jody and Dave Dohner.
