Are you in cambridge MA? If so, what hospital/dr. are you referring to regarding switching OBs and midwifes, breach babies etc...

my apologies! i was away for the weekend and returned late last night.

i actually live in malden but all of my docs are in cambridge (where i used to live).

i wasn't sure about policies re: naming names, etc. on the boards. if it isn't okay, i imagine a mod will delete so here goes:

the miwife practice at mt. auburn immediately wanted to schedule a c-section for a breech babe. the couple switched to my OB at ~37 weeks and she let them go into labor and progress through labor a bit (to kick in the hormones, etc.) before doing the c-section. Her name is Beth Hardiman and I *adore* her. I liked her the first time i saw her 9 years ago! Little did I know that when it came time for an OB, I already had THE person as my GYN. I could gush on and on. DH really liked her too.

You have to do an initial fetal monitoring strip at Mt. Auburn but Dr. Hardiman is really casual about it. she just holds it up against you for a little bit and keeps the nurses at bay when they want to intervene.
