UPDATEPlease pray for my family

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers and kind words.
It was very comforting when I was sitting here with nothing to do, just waiting to hear word.
I am happy to report that my dh is home. They don't know what it was. His EKGs were weird but repeated blood tests showed no sign of any cardiac enzymes, so they think his weird EKG may be normal for him. They advised him to follow up with his primary Dcotor and put him on a cardiac (low sodium) diet, but he is free to do any sort of physical activity he pleases and go back to work.
Thank you again, so much. It was very scary for us, especially with his family history, and we are so blessed to have him home.


Dh was admitted today to the hospital after a suspected cardiac incident. He was just sitting when he started having chest pain. The hospital drew blood and found no cardiac enzymes, but they did find something that suggests "his atria is firing prematurely". An EKG was also sort of funky and showed inverted T waves, but that may be nothing new as he has always had a somewhat abnormal EKG (although I don't know in what way).
He gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant with dd, but is only about 10 pounds overweight. It is very hard for me to not be at the hospital with him, but after spending the day there sneaking in to see him when I could 9since they won't allow dd in), we both decided she needed me overnight more than he did.
Please, please pray that everything turns out alright, and that he is ok. He is only 23.

Hugs, mama! I guess it just goes to show that heart problems can happen at any age. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

FWIW, my father had a heart attack very young (around 39) and later had to have a triple by-pass (at 51). He is doing so well today. Modern medicine is awesome. That and there are so many great medicines on the market. I pray the doctors can answer more of your questions and help him get on a path to recovery.
