I posted several weeks ago about nighttime issues but we're still having issues! It had gotten a wee bit better but then DS figurd out how to open the gate at the top the stairs, so that took care of us "ignoring" his pleas for this, that and the other thing!

We're starting a set bedtime routine of a bubble bath at 7:30, followed by PJs, books and then bed. Then it starts....it was fine the first night (Sunday) as he was asleep by 8:45pm. But Monday night we started the routine and it wasn't until i went to sleep around 11 that DS finally fell asleep. Tonight appears to be more of the same; DH is heading upstairs now to read books, etc.

I guess my question is this ~ DS is 3 and fully PT'd so gating off his room isn't an option plus he can open the stairway gate.

I was just delayed in finishing this because DS was wailing for mommy upstairs and threw up w/ DH right there.

Could any of this stem from my being the one dropping DS off at day care on a daily basis? Any time he's home it's just allllll about mommy and we're at whits end!

TIA!

Is he still napping?

He naps on the days he's in school but not on the weekends unless it's a cat nap in the car. There's no rhyme or reason as to the days he's in school vs the days he's home and not napping. For instance he napped today @ school and he's still up now; didn't nap yesterady and didn't go to bed til 11. He napped in the car on Sunday for maybe 20 minutes and was asleep by 8:45pm.

Gosh that's confusing. And linking his late nights to a nap was my best and only idea! I wish I could help more!

When we were having similar trouble with my dd we put a potty in her room and gated the room. That way she could still use the potty.
