my baby, the super-alert one who only slept 8 out of every 24 hours for his first three months of life, the one who has fought sleep and naps in every form for his whole life because he might miss out on something, the one who has never, in his whole life, fallen asleep without protest - just fell asleep on the hallway floor while playing!!! i was sitting here reading the boards, thought 'gee, it sounds awfully quiet all of the sudden, i wonder what he's gotten into', and lo and behold, there he is, asleep on the hallway floor clutching the rolled up poster he'd been playing with. go figure. to say that's a shocker is the understatement of the year! even more shocking, i picked him up, carried him into the nursery, put him in the crib and he rolled over, hummed and went right back to sleep. please excuse me while i go do the 'Dance of Joy'.

Send some of those sleep vibes over here! I think I would faint if DD fell asleep willingly!

Congrats -- that's a milestone for the baby book!
