Our little girl finally made her appearance on Sunday night. DD was 8 lbs 6 oz at birth. She is doing just wonderfully.

Unfortunately, the VBAC didn't go well and I ended up with a c-section. I'm working on writing up the birth story and will post it later today or tomorrow. I am very disappointed that it was a c/s, but am very happy with how the whole labor went overall.

She is a breastfeeding champ already. I was able to breastfeed her in recovery about 1 hour after she was born. She latched on in about 2.5 seconds and is still doing great. She's a bit sleepy, so I'm waking her to nurse often enough at night. I do like the extra sleep I'm getting!

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement and well wishes. I just read through my thread from Saturday night. Lori, you were right about not making it to induction. I checked in 17 hours before I was scheduled :).

I'm sorry you didn't get your vaginal birth, but glad you're both doing well.

I also tried (unsuccessfully) for a vbac, but the second c/s was a lot better. I was disappointed, but at least this time I knew that I was educated about birth and we tried our best, IYKWIM. Therefore, I had didn't have the same regrets that I had the first time. I hope it's like that for you..
