How do I start a playgroup?

I want to get a playgroup started for DS. We live in Orlando, and I know very few people with young children. How do I find some little friends for him to play with?

Hi - Though I've never started a playgroup, I've thought about it many times. You could put an ad on your local craigslist that you're looking to start a gourp, I've seen them locally here quite often. We have a local group that meets here at our church, we pay a small fee each week and use it to purchase new toys etc for the children. You would enquire at local churches to see if they would allow you to use there space to meet in, or you could plan on meeting in different homes weekly. You could also put up a flyer at the library or playgound in the neighborhood.

Hope these suggestions help, I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas here.
