I want a new wedding ring but am staying away from real diamonds. Any good online stores that I should look at? I looked at the QVC Diamonique line which I liked. Any others?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ring right now but it is diamond and was too $$ for us right now.

FWIW- I learn SO much here, it is where I learned about the negative issues around the diamond trade industry. Here is the old thread I have bookmarked.

I'll be honest in saying I love my bling bling from QVC. I have gotten lots of compliments on my ring. I could care less if it is real or not- it is definitely pretty and bling blingy. I bought it as a birthday present to myself last year, along with matching earrings and a floating heart necklace. It all cost me around $100 or so and made me VERY happy!!!

Have you considered colored stones instead? Maybe consider the birthstone used for the month you were married, of course if that month is April you would want a different option. I have seen some really beautiful settings of colored stones that would make fantastic *wedding* rings.

www.diamondtalk.com
www.simtalk.com (simulated diamonds)

also...
there's something called an Asha simulant, Moissanite, Van Graff and Michael E Cashmere...

Look on simtalk or is it simstalk? and get some information there... there is tons of info on simulated diamonds and jewelers who are experienced with these materials. Some beautiful stuff out there!!

My MIL has bought several things from Jewelry Television and has been quite satisfied with them. You can get really nice jewelry there for a steal if you look hard enough. They also have a 30 day inspection policy so you have time to get an appraisal if you want. Also, I believe they are on Ebates :)

I'm currently infatuated with this ring...

and this one (which is way cheaper!)

Also, when I was looking for a CZ eternity band for my Christmas present I found this site, which has literally hundreds of options..

I ended up getting a diamonique channel set eternity band to make it easy for DH because I found earrings and a necklace at QVC that I also wanted. But these rings are gorgeous!

ETA - missing url for cheaper JT ring :)

Oohh! Thank you! I tried searching for a replica ring and coudln't find it. For $35, it would be worth buying just to try it out. Thanks!!
