smelly jeans? laundry question...

I air dry my jeans and lately they smell really musty. I'm sure it's because of all the rain we've been having. Right now I have them outside to see if that will help. I even used vinegar in the rinse when I washed them. Any suggestions? It's driving me nuts.

Do you air dry them because they are special and you don't want to harm them, or to prevent wrinkling/shrinkage issues? It's super humid here (most of the time), and if I air-dried jeans it would take days and they would REEK. So I dry them in the dryer until they are just a little damp, then hang them to dry the rest of the way. No shrinkage, no wrinkles, no stink. HTH!

Pretty much, if I dry them...they don't fit. I should just lose 5lbs (okay maybe 10) so I can dry the darn jeans! :)

You can always air dry them the way I do when I need to get something dry in a hurry - aim a fan at them.
