I know this has been asked before -- and I searched the archives and found threads about nature's miracle (which I have). But I thought someone (Kaya's mom?) had a homemade mixture that she used recently on a vacation with her DC because she had been throwing up. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thank you

COlleen Z.

Yes, Eileen posted something about that. I'll see if I can find the thread. Otherwise, I'm sure Eileen will chime in.

"Thankfully, I managed to bring my spray bottle of Merlin's Magic (Dr. B's, TTO, water), so I'll be keeping that around for clean-ups."

I think you'll need her input for the exact recipe, though ;).

I've got mad skills. ROFL!

I remembered posting in that thread myself, and I don't post *THAT* often in the lounge. So I did a search for posts in the lounge that I contributed to, started by mudder/Eileen. It only took a minute. :). I want that recipe too, I know I will need it!

LOL, you all are waaaaaaay ahead of me. Okay, first off, I don't know how well, this will remove vomit from something like cloth seats, since I laundered Kaya's car seat cover and we have leather seats in our car. So you may need to use Nature's Miracle after all's said in done.

That said, here's the recipe--it's from Karen Logan's Clean House, Clean Planet:

Merlin's Magic Antiseptic Soap Spray

Ingredients: Liquid soap (I used Dr. B's peppermint castille soap, which smells yummy, but I believe TJ's has a cheaper brand of the same liquid soap), purified water, and tea tree oil, 16 oz spray bottle

Fill the bottle almost full with water and THEN add 3 tbsp. of liquid soap to prevent the bottle from sudsing up as you fill. I use filtered water from my tap since minerals inhibit the cleaning action of soap. Add 20-30 drops or more of the TTO for antiseptic power. Shake to mix.

I've used it on pretty much everything, including cat barf, although I haven't used it that much on the carpets (because thankfully they usually barf on the floor). For the times I've had to clean it off the carpets (I also cleaned Kaya pee from the carpet once), it seemed to help. For really tough stuff, I used my carpet cleaner (Bissel?) but used this solution instead of what came with it. Oh, and I've used it on Kaya's hands instead of antiseptic soap when I'm out and about, too.

HTH!

Eileen
