It was in our paper today, actually. Quints, they said. In fact, "at least" five -- uh, OK. So it could be 6?! I'd faint. They said her waist is now larger than she is high and taxis are refusing to let her in their cars.

Is there a chance this is not real?
First of all, they should know the precise number. Secondly, is this a spontaneous case of multiples versus fertility treatments? Do they offer fertility treatments in rural China? Also, she's only 5 months pregnant so far. 1, 2, 5 or 9 fetusus, still shouldn't take up THAT much room at that age gestation, right?

Good questions. From the three or so documentaries I've seen of high order multiples (yeah, that makes me such an expert) nobody has ever looked like that. It does look unreal.

I don't know if that pic is real (no idea) but I remember seeing pics of one of the "famous" women in the US that had higher order multiples (sextuplets or septuplets) and she was bigger than a house. Jaw droppingly huge.

If you have a short waist, I can imagine you might look like that? I feel like I was almost that big with DS LOL.

While I understand she couldn't bear to break her husband's heart with the news that she'd had a second m/c, I am left scratching my head as to why she couldn't have just told him the truth once she became PG again (instead of trying to so outlandishly "correct" her gestation size). Me thinks there are a few screws loose somewhere...
