Under garments for see-through/light coloured summer clothes

DH took DS to the beach for most of the day so I could study, and they bought me clothes! Lovely things that are actually right for my body shape (A-line, empire line etc), but the material is thin cotton that will be totally see through in the sunlight. I think I was born wtih chubby cellulite thighs, and I normally stay away from this kind of material as it can show every bump that shouldn't be there. What, if anything can I wear underneath. I really don't won't to return the clothes as they are really nice and DH went out of his way to buy them...

I have a pair of pink cropped light weight cotton pants, almost cheese cloth material. I do have a girdle/thigh pants, but they are industrial strength and will be seen through the material and they're too uncomfortable for daily wear.

I slip for a skirt, that's preferable cottony rather than the nylon one that I have. It's summer. I don't want it to get all sweaty and clingy.

Any other undergarment suggestions to suck things in??? Oh, and no panty line would be fabulous. I want to buy a pair of white cotton trousers, which I normally avoid, but only if I have the right undergarments.

Spanx would be your best bet.

For the pants, if there isn't lining near the top, your best bet is to wear a thong with them and a top that goes over the majority of the waist band area (like an empire waste, babydoll dress top in white cotton eyelet) or do the Spanx shaper that goes from waste to mid calf in nude.

I personally like the all over shapers w/ shorts b/c I get hot in the summer, which promotes thigh rub. Ouch.

My only other suggestion is cotton bike shorts and a cotton camisole w/ hidden bralet.
