Things Maddy has learned in the last week.

1. Crayon is easliy applied to the refrigerator.

2. Any unedible object that will fit in my mouth will be good to chew on for a while. When I am tired of chewing on the item, I will walk over to mom, who will put out her hand in shock and I will spit out the saliva coated item.

3. Jumping is a fun sport but even better when you can do it on the couch.

4. Falling on your face and getting a huge goose egg is not cause to stop dancing.

5. Daddy's tools make excellent musical instruments.

6. Eating nail polish, deoderant, triple antibiotic ointment, cat food and lotion are not out of the realm of reason. In addition, the cat's food and mom's deoderant are so tasty that I will go to great lengths to get to them.

7. I am able to climb to great heights to get what I want.

8. Removing one's diaper is quite fun.

9. Laughing at mom when I am in trouble makes the 2 minutes seem shorter.

10. Shredding my favorite books and then announcing "Mess!" to mom will cause mom to be reduced to shrieks.

Things mom has learned in the last week:

1. Listing a newly christened two year on ebay sounds like a really good idea.

What has your toddler learned this week????

Not **that** verbal yet, but this does not stop him from making jokes:

When DH goes to the bathroom, DS has to go in as well. Now, he's taken to asking his Dad "Need help?"

Abigail learned:

1. Rocking chairs are great for rocking, but even better for climbing.

2. Playing soccer is fun! For lack of a ball, a sippy cup will do.

3. Forget cheerios, whatever mama is eating os MUCH better.

4. If I don't like what I've been served, I can always feed it to mama
(after chewing it awhile, of course).

5. Baby pools suck, no matter how long they took mama to blow up.

6. If dada tries to block me in the room, I can always crawl under his improvised barricade and find mama in the shower before dada even notices I'm gone (provided of course, the world cup is on).

7. When someone tell you "no", the proper response is to give a big smile and then run away laughing.

Funny!

Avery learned:
1) Just when mama buys me two huge blocks of my favorite chese, it's fun to decide not to want to eat it anymore.

2) Playing cards can be shot directly under the living room entertainment center, from where they can never be retrieved.

3) When mom and dad take me to the zoo, it's fun to yell "TUSHIE! TUSHIE! TUSHIE!" at top volume whenver any animal turns its backside to me.

4. I can get mama to jump 788564 times in a row because my attempts at doing it myself are freaking hilarious!

5. When I ask mama to hold me while she's cooking and she says she can't and I ask 100 times more in my whining voice, mama's eye gets this funny twitch.

I'll give you a goat and a jar of pickles.

Jason has learned:

1. If I'm in the hospital and need to be sedated, it will take a combo of at least 3 seperate drugs to knock me out. After the 3rd has been given, I can still attempt to run through the halls with my eyes closed in order to fight its effects.

2. No matter how hard she tries not to, Mommmy will laugh when I shake my head no and smile at her.

3. You can pretty much live on Snapea Crisps alone for an entire week.

4. Teething stinks!

5. Putting diapers in the Diaper Champ is fun, but putting other stuff in there is even more fun!

RE the Ebay comment, my sister jokes that she is going to create a new site called EBaby for just that purpose. :)

You had quite a week!

Mine has learned to cover his mouth and look worried before he needs to be sick, giving us time to get him to a proper receptacle. Sigh. I'd rather he be learning what your toddler's learning ;)

Eri — Ish likes to follow me into the bathroom (and can open the door himself at this place! :o ), and though he doesn't talk, he watches everything I do verrrrrry carefully. I wind up having to narrate lest he try to take the toilet paper from me - his version of wanting to help.

Other things he's learned this week:

He can JUMP.

Pigeons tickle when they eat breadcrumbs off your toes.

Glass breaks when you throw it onto concrete.

Strangers give you even more attention if you get bashful and hide behind Mommy's legs every time someone catches your eye and smiles. (This is adorable, even if it can get annoying after half an hour of him insist on playing peekaboo from behind my knees.)

Saying "Da-da" doesn't make him appear.

Screaming doesn't get you out of the car seat any faster.

Things that avi has learnt recently:

When he covers his mouth and giggles after misbehaving he is less likely to get into trouble because he looks sooo cute

That everything in the world belongs to him and saying, "avi's ball", etc does not mean that he can have it.

when he climbs on the couch and then trys to jump off and/or climb to the arm and jump off mommy/ilana/daddy jump up very fast to take him down, he then does the laughing that i mentioned before

when avi wants a cookie/juice if he asks for it about 100x he will get it, even if he just finished lunch and just had cookies

and best of all, when he sits on the toilet for 15 minutes and does not make a drop and then stands up to walk with me to take a bath and stands and goes pee all over the floor, it is not as funny as he thinks it is.

AAHHH, the wonders that avi has learnt this week!

So, I'm not the only one with a 2 year old that seems to be learning the craziest/annoying/drive-me-bonkers/silliest things each week! That's nice to hear...

Well, my Noah this week has been practicing his new found talents:

1) I like the word "MINE". All of mommy's stuff is also "MINE".

2) I can yell "MOMMA, DADDA" at the top of my lungs over and over till they come running to me

3) If I want to watch mommy cook, all I have to do is ask over and over and then throw a temper tantrum and she will roll her eyes, sigh, and pick me up to watch her cook.

4) I don't like sharing anymore!

5) I really like throwing balls in the house, they bounce so high!

6) I really have mastered the art of the fake crying spell.

7) And I can make my mommy laugh if I repeat after her, "cranky butt, cranky butt, cranky butt".

"5. When I ask mama to hold me while she's cooking and she says she can't and I ask 100 times more in my whining voice, mama's eye gets this funny twitch."

I'm hiding from my two year old while I wait for the twitching to go away.
