Even though I've only been on bed rest for two weeks, my days and weeks are blending and I have no idea what day of the week it is let alone what month it is! So, I'm with your DS, let's put up the holiday decorations!!! :)

Maybe my DS is a distant relative of your DS. He's been hunting Easter Eggs non stop for the past 2 months. He carries his Easter basket in the car, filled with eggs (sidewalk chalk shaped like eggs, some egg shakers, and some wooden eggs for his kitchen). His favorite thing to do is have me hide them and him find them.

I imagine the novelty won't be there next Easter...he'll have worn out the fun of egg hunting for himself by then ;)

I say go ahead and put up the tree :D

I was going to post a similar response. Everytime dd sees eggs she wants to "make them pretty".
Oh, and nearly everyday is someone's birthday. Last week when I explained that Sunday was a special day for Daddy, she got excited and started talking really fast about how everyone was going to be there and we were going to have cake!
Nothing like the simple joys of childhood.

My older DD is right there with your DS. She mentions/asks about Santa Claus on a weekly basis. Although it doesn't help that one of our family friends is a professional Santa and is already sporting his beard so it'll be nice and big come the holiday season. She's been told that he knows and works/helps Santa, so when she sees our friend, she thinks Christmas. I don't know what I'm going to do when she gets old enough to recognize him as our "friend" vs. "Santa" when he's working!

If it meant that my DS would be quiet and cooperative I would have chopped down one of the trees in our yard and hauled it in today myself!!!

Merry June . . .
